that matters,

by Br. majed mahmoud;
- Caring about people's judgment is okay (especially if it is related to their culture - as unity is very critical)...in fact it is encouraged...but it should not be more than caring about Allah's judgement.
- First example :
i.
'backbiting' has become the 'dessert' of
every gathering/conversation. the scholars said that on the day of judgment,
the body of the one who you backbite will be brought to you and you will be
forced to literally eat the meat just as it is stated in surah al hujuraat
(49:12) '..would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? you
would detest it..'
ii.
On the other hand..if you
defend your brother , Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. said:“The one who rebuts another
from backbiting has protected himself from the fire.”
iii.
Conclusion 1 : when people
backbite or want to start backbiting, be brave to stop them/ leave them. you
might lose your friends/geng but you will receive the pleasure of Allah
..insyaAllah
- Second example
i.
Don't be shy to say I don't know, because the Prophet s.a.w. also said I
don't know.
hadith:..somebody
came to the Prophet s.a.w and asked him: What are the worst places? The Prophet
s.a.w. answered: I do not know. Then Jibrael came to the Prophet s.a w. and was
asked by the Prophet s.a.w. what are the worst places? Jibrael a.s. said: I do
not know, but I will ask my Lord. Jibrael left and was away as much as Allah
wished, then came to the Prophet s.a.w. and said: 0 Muhammad s.a.w., you asked
me what are the worst places and once I did not know I asked Allah s.w.t. and
He said: (These are) the markets. (Ahmad)
ii.
Conclusion 2 : If you don't ;
say it. Pretend to know and thus giving wrong information will harm the person
who had asked you (in this world) and harm you in the next world.
- Third example
i.
Our religion is based on
naseehah. Look at how the Prophet s.a.w. give naseehah to Umar r.a. Prophet
s.a.w. kissing the black stone however umar r.a. accidently harm someone. He s.a.w. said 'o
umar, you are a strong man and if you wish to kiss the black but you see there
is crowd there step away and just make doa.
ii.
Conclusion 3 : must always give
naseehah but be wise. start with recognizing positive first and then advise
gently.
- 4th example
i.
Just to avoid people's judgment
during wedding ..some islamic values were compromised!!!
ii.
Whatever our effort in a
wedding, we are going to be judged and we will never be able to please all
people. just like the story of juha, http://www.worldstories.org.uk/stories/story/9-joha-and-his-donkey
iii.
Conclusion 4 - we must put
Allah's judgment above all...do not compromise!
- 5th. example
i.
False testimony .
The hadith:
Prophet s.a.w. said, "Shall I not inform you of one of the gravest of the
cardinal sins?" We said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah. He s.a.w. said,
"To join others as partners with Allah in worship and to be undutiful to
one's parents." The Messenger of Allah sat up from his reclining position
(in order to stress the importance of what he was going to say) and added,
"I warn you making a false statement and giving a false testimony. I warn
you against making a false statement and giving a false testimony." The Messenger
of Allah s.a.w. kept on repeating this (warning) till we wished he should stop.
ii.
The speaker once tested with
this trail when his friend got a parking ticket because parking in handicap
section. he told the police that was sending hos mum at nearby mosque. he was
told he must get at least 1 witness... and he was asked by his friend to be
false witness.
iii.
Conclusion 5..don't take that
risk !!!
- Finally
Whoever sought
the pleasure of Allah though it was displeasing to the people then Allah
becomes pleased with him, and will make the people please with him, and whoever
sought the pleasure of the people though it was displeasing to Allah then Allah
becomes displeased with him and will make the people displeased with him.

ReplyDeletenice sharing huda ... kena selalu ingat ni, "should not be more than caring about Allah's judgement"
ReplyDeletecontoh keempat tu orang melayu selalu lupa ... masing-masing takut kena kata, masing-masing na buat gempak punya :)
ReplyDeletecontoh terbaik yang no.5, false testimoni ... banyak testimonial online ntah dari mana ntah, masing2 main C&P je, kalau testimonial tipu, nayo :p
ReplyDeletecth yg ke4 tu selalu kita buat...semata2 nk dptkan pujian drpd manusia...kita lupakan hukum Allah SWT...moga kita dijauhkan drpd perkara mcm ni :)
ReplyDeleteNo 2 tu.. Kalu kita tak nak org ckp psl kite.. kite jgn ckp psl org...
ReplyDeletepandangan Allah itu lebih penting dari pandangan manusia..syukran berkongsi ilmu..
ReplyDeleteThanks huda, nice sharing
ReplyDeleteUntuk apa kita terlalu merisaukan pandangan manusia, jika kita tak gentar 'pandangan' Allah terhadap kita. Itu yang sepatutnya kita utamakan.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder Huda :)
