Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
Hydie Odie....
Waaahhh it has been ages since the last time I jot thing down here (other than copy paste).
Dia punya level pemalas tu .... New year entry pun aci main copy paste lagu je. Walaupun lagu tu menarik je untuk di tekuni maknanya, tapi just copy paste it like.... Seriously? no my own words in there? Hahaha....
January 2019 - hectic!
Berkejar + stresss + sakit (demam + blood infection + mata bengkak + tangan bengkak) + etc etc etc.
Sangat2 diuji ketika pick time menyiapkan thesis dan final exam bagi menghabiskan final semester masters.
Alhamdulillah settle. Hahahaha Sumpah EMO.
Bersyukur sebab - sebenarnya Allah answer ALL MY PRAYER. aku je spesis tak sedar diri dah bagi betis nak peha. kah kah kah. Alhamdulillah sebenarnya aku bersyukur je banyak-banyak dengan result masters aku secara keseluruhan i.e I asked Allah 3 things before I further my study :
- Nak dapat ilmu yang berkat dan bermanfaat (semoga semua guru halalkan ilmu mereka kat saya supaya saya boleh manfaatkan untuk kebaikan agama, bangsa dan tanah air).
- Nak dapat semua subjek tidak bawah daripada B+.
- Nak grad dengan pointer 3.5 ke atas
- Nak help universiti to have a good network with industries a.k.a bermasyarakat lah sket dengan industri, jangan akademik sangat.
So basically, item 1,2,3 tu Allah makbulkan - Alhamdulillah. Dapat A juga (which is saya tak jangka), pastu bila 1st and 2nd sem dah dapat banyak A, mula tamak nak A juga sem 3. Padan muka sem 3 langsung tak ada A. Hahaha.... Okay lah doakan nak B+ je. Tu pun lebih dah Allah beri.
Alhamdulillah.
Kenapa aku .... Why me Why me Why me. Tetiba teringat item no. 4 tu, mungkin inilah caranya Allah nak makbulkan item no 4 tu.
So dipendekkan cerita, jawapan proposal aku je diterima untuk sesi video shooting tu. Ha ha ha.... masa tu aku dah start tak sihat. Aku keep on cari alasan untuk tak nak pergi. Siap call penaja supaya penaja berhalangan untuk aku participate. Memang tak lah jawapan dia kan. Haruslah penaja support to participate.
Maka pada 13 August 2018, pergi lah aku menadah muka (yang sembab sebab tak sihat, mata bengkak, hidung berair segala) bagi menjayakan rakaman. Kah kah kah.... i screw up. Sumpah teruk dan disaster. Aku ni tak video friendly. Muka sememeh + suara tak sedap + cakap english tak power + grammar lintang pukang .... kah kah kah pakej lengkap untuk screw up.
Tapi they said draf text aku paling best. kah kah kah. Well menulis takde hal! Nak cakap depan camera tu memang BIG HAL for me.
Penat aku rasuah semua orang suh baca je text aku tu. Aku memang tak boleh benda rakam2 ni. Screw up!
hahahaha.... agaknya!
Tapi aku masih berdoa part ada muka aku ditiadakan. Semoga tape yang ada muka aku, like ter rosak, jatuh dalam air kopi ke, tertumpah kuah laksa ke, you know as long as TAK ADA MUKA aku dalam video yang release tu. Ha ha ha....
#pray4huda okay.
By the way, since aku dah buat text tu panjang berjela .... meh aku share kan deraf text jawapan aku untuk mempromosikan kursus data sains di institusi pengajian tinggi di Malaysia.
Semoga adalah kot manfaatnya di mana-mana.
So here you are: 10 soalan semuanya ....
Mana yang aku jumpa je lah deraf point nya ya.
Njoy and may it bring benefit, Insha Allah.
1.
Tell us briefly about yourself i.e. your first degree and current occupation.
Your role in your current organisation.
- Sebab ni PnC untuk aku, so soalan ni aku tak share lah jawapan dia ngan korang. Video haritu pun banyak aku pesan suh cut.
2.
What made you choose to study a post graduate degree in Data Science?
- Data
is a vital asset to an organisation. I
choose to study a post graduate degree in Data Science in order to have the
right skills to assists <___> specifically, and public organisations to put high
value in statistics for policy making.
Department
of <_____> as the producer of official statistics, produced
statistics that are mainly used by the government as evidence-based decision
making in the formulation, implementation, evaluation and review phases of the
national policies.
- Data
are taken as a basis for doing something. If nothing is to be done with the
data, then there is no use in collecting any. The ultimate purpose of taking
data is to provide a basis for action or a recommendation for action.
- Having
numerous data around, in other words dealing with really BIG data, in the
volume of data, sizes, speed, format, velocity and varieties, could cause an
organisation to lose focus and fail to maximize the value of those data.
- The
demand for competent statisticians who can tease out the facts by analyzing data, planning investigations, and developing the necessary new theories and
techniques, will continue to increase as public organisations recognize the
importance of data in making credible decisions.
- Lack of expertise in
statistics can lead to fundamental errors. Large amounts of data plus
sophisticated analytics do not guarantee accurate interpretations. The key
elements for a successful big data analytics and data science (or data mining)
in the future are statistical principles and rigour of humans
Cukup poyo bukan!. Ha ha ha
3.
What do you
intend to achieve after completing
this degree?
A:
Master of Data Science and Analytics programme in
U_M is designed to provide students with knowledge and
applied skills in data science especially data analytics, statistical method
and machine learning as well as data visualization. This will help me to improve my
analytical skill in problem solving using right statistical methods with helps
of knowledge and skills of programming. I hope that I can further explore
and fully utilize the knowledge that I gain to work better with structured,
unstructured and time-series data.
4.
How was your experience doing the degree full time/part time (can elaborate in
terms of the University curriculum, lecturer and facility)?
A: The reason why I choose this program under FST
U_M is in term of the syllabus which is geared towards statistical and mathematical
fundamentals. This is the strength for this course in which strong mathematical
and statistical skills imply on great analytical skills which is much needed in
the industry.
Throughout my postgraduate studies in this
program, I have enhanced my knowledge and skills in statistical method and
models (For example, regression, clustering and classification) which can
generate usable information from raw data.
I was trained and encouraged to use R and
python from scratch, and I’ve mastered it even though I have no basic in this
programming language, ever before. The knowledge and skills in using R and
Python help me a lot in data exploration (e.g. dataset mining, data pattern
prediction and analysis, etc.).
I have been given exposure to the basic of
machine learning which enhance my logical and critical thinking to explore
further potential analysis using structured and unstructured data. Through data
visualisation and communication subject, it helps me to develop creative
thinking to visualise and communicate data for easy understanding.
During this final semester, there will be a
capstone project for the students to experience working on a project assigned
by the industry where the students will apply the skills and knowledge taught
throughout the course. This is a great opportunity for the students to
experienced real working environment with real data and real situation.
5.
Has the post graduate degree enhance your career?
A: I am positive that with the knowledge and skills
gained in U_M, will reduce the difficulties in analysing big data and give me
more insightful analysis for effective decision making.
Masa rakaman ni dibuat aku belum kembali bertugas!
Was in my final semester.
Soalan no 6 ni paling aku suka. Ha ha ha
6.
What aspire you to be in the Data Science/Big Data Analytic field?
A:
The world’s today revolves around data and
information. Data and information is easily accessible online. The magnitude of
data generated and shared by various parties has been increasing
substantially. Forbes magazine in May
2018 published that there are 2.5 quintillion bytes of data created each
day at our current pace, but that pace is accelerating with the growth of the
Internet of Things (IoT). Over the last two years alone 90 percent of the data
in the world was generated.
The emergence of technology and automation especially under the
wave of the fourth industrial revolution has added concern that there will be
job losses. The speed of technological advancement has the potential to rebuild
and replace an entire industry whereby many existing employees will be replaced
with technology and machines. Malaysia has to address these issues properly to
ensure the country's economic activities remain competitive in global market.
I aspire to be in Data Science or Big Data Analytic to ensure
that I remain relevant. Most importantly, I hope that I am able to provide
insightful analysis for effective decision
making by the government in solving issues facing our country and its people.
Jawapan ikhlas kenapa aku study bidang ni sebab aku fed-up dengan vendor. 10 aku tanya 8 dia jawab TAK BOLEH buat. aishhh kecik beso aku tengok vendor tu.
7.
What is your view on the Data Science/Big Data Analytic field in Malaysia?
A:
new field ... unexplored still growing, compared to other
developed countries.
From my observation, most of data science programs focusing or
highlighting the programming /computational /software parts whereas from my
point of view, this skill is in needed as much as strong fundamental skills in
mathematics and statistics. Simply put, I think that majority opinions are
sided with the software in data science and do not emphasizing the role of
math/stats skills. Perhaps in future, more programs can be directed towards
this objective.
Technology changes, but if we master the right
concept of statistics and analysis from the beginning, we and our organisations
will survive and thrive through any form of technology or software updates.
8.
Would you recommend your peers or friends to become a Data Scientist/Data
Professional?
A:
Well, I think job definition for a data scientist is still very ambiguous at this
point of time.
YES, IF you want to remain relevant in
the working industries. According to a study by the Khazanah Research
Institute, it is estimated that more than all current employment sectors in
Malaysia are at high risk of being affected by automation over the next one to
two decades.
Hope that the program can be improved further if.... (aku tak ingat ku jawab apa). Hahaha ....
9.
How would you contribute back to the nation?
Jawapan ni aku tak kongsi!
Soalan 10 ni aku dah tak ada mood nak jawab. Ha ha ha sebab dah pukul 6 petang masa tu.
10.
Do you think this post graduate degree will be beneficial to the country?
A:
The data science and analytical skills are relevant to any
industry. This definitely can contribute to National Digital Economy and
enhancing Service Delivery to Citizen and Business.

Okay tu sahaja nak share dalam entri kali ni. Maka jom lah sambung masters kat U_M. Ha ha ha
Sebab U_M paksa kau belajar math and stats guna R dan python from scratch.
Untuk slow motion person macam aku - belajar rasa hazab glerz!
Tapi mujur ada study buddy yang setia, alhamdulillah survive lah graduate on time Alhamdulillah.
Insha Allah. Amiin.
Till write in again.
Stay tune, stay alive stay healthy, stay happy, paling penting STAY AWAY FROM MASALAH!
